10th grade ICT, a golden experience for you and me

      In my school, in 10th grade, we have been studying ICT. The classes were interesting and had a good learning process. 

     Although we had little time, the lessons were fun and interesting. We've studied on how computer hardware and software work, dismantled and assembled a working system unit, learned about the internet and how to make blogs, made our own web design through HTML tags and learning how to use photoshop. Thanks to this subject and our teacher, we have broaden our knowledge on technology. Although this subject was hard, it gives a sense of satisfaction once you've learned something you can apply it in real life.

     This subject has been a golden experience, it's an experience that's worth going back to. The knowledge we have gathered and applying them feels good, this was how I saw my own experience with the subject, for me you should have this subject to 

My Dream, My Future

     
      Everyone has a dream, a goal to fulfill. A dream on what our future shall be, the things that we’ll be facing. The places we were destined to go

       
     I, I have a dream, to become a doctor and to help people in need. Ever since I was young, I've always wanted to be a doctor. I looked up to my mother for her profession. The world is an unsafe place, you may get hurt and injured throughout your journey. Our world has a lot of problems, some of them are the diseases that people acquire. HIV/AIDS, cancer, poisons, viruses and a lot more deadly viruses. My dream is to help those people being affected by these diseases, to help them confront the pain that they are facing.

     Dreams are essential, they guide us on what we want to be. Dreams help us mold our future. Dream big and think big, for a fulfilling future

117th High School Day Celebration

      Every year, Ilocos Sur National High School celebrates its foundation day. On a day during the month of March, ISNHS holds activities such as the search and coronation of Mr and Ms. ISNHS and a field demo of the students of per grade level and just recently the teachers also joined in the field demo. The search for Mr and Ms. ISNHS starts before March, each grade level must have a representative. Per grade level they give a certain amount of money, to help their contestant win. The day after the coronation is the day of the field demonstration. Each grade level has different and unique kinds of props and costumes. They will parade around the city together with the contestants of the search for Mr and Ms.ISNHS. After the parade is the most awaited part of the foundation day, the field demonstration. All the students perform a dance unique to their grade level, boys and girls separated. The students have been practicing for many days and today they will give it their all to amaze the crowd. Not only the students will dance but also the teachers, they are as talented as the students. Some of them might be old, but that wont stop them from showing what they can do.

       Every year is a new memory, a new golden experience for all. This activity is not only for the students and teachers, but it is also for the glory of our Alma Mater.

Kannawidan 2019

Kannawidan is a festival in which the Residents of Ilocos Sur rejoice every year. This celebration is a way for the Ilocano people to preserve and bring back their culture

Kannawidan Festival celebrates and preserves stunning culture, customs and tradition of Ilocanos. During this festival, different activities are held. These activities include different competitions such as quiz bees, essay writing, painting and many more. Products are also sold in this festival, like shoes, fruits, vegetables, and many more.

This is such a great and important occasion for all the Ilocanos. Because this is the time to embrace about our past, our culture and to treasure it for this is ours.

Every year is a new celebration, a new experience that you will get to witness. This says a lot about the Ilocanos' behaviour on being really festive people.

Change begins with me

Change starts with me.Change is the only permanent thing in this world, people know that change is a way that people can solve their problems,people change for the better, but if there's no effort exerted into said change, then it still won't be of use to anyone.

Change starts with every person. Every person has the the ability to improve, to grow, to change. Although everyone has the potential to change, a lot of people still don't contribute to this change, they enjoy doing nothing rather than work. Laziness is one of the main causes of the delay in improvement in our country, we must unite to work on this "change", no individual can attain such an achievement, we know that, yet we refuse to cooperate with others sometimes. We need to stop being uncooperative and start being unified with our country.

Change starts with everyone, no one is alone, but if you refuse to take that change or refuse to change for the better, then you'll lose all significance as a member of this country, you're nothing more than a waste of space, but if you start working on it, no matter how trivial it may be, you're contributing to society, so be proud.

New Year, New me

Last year has been a memorable year, as any other year would be, but every year there's a change a someones life. The only permanent thing in the world is change. Lives will end, but in return a new life is born. Change is truly quite frustrating, and is sometimes frightening for most people.

Some people are afraid of change, probably because they've been enjoying their lives, and want it to continue until the end of their lives. However, there are also people who are waiting for change, possibly cause they've faced a lot of bad things in their lives. But life is not all about being happy, it also about facing problems that gives lessons. So this brings the question, "Is change good or bad?" To put it more direct, change is subjective, people change for the worse and some change for the better, the only defining trait of a person is how they interpret themselves. Change is unavoidable, but change is not bad if people change for the better. It's a new year, so why not begin with a new you? Maybe it's your chance to finally catch the opportunity you've been longing for, there are so many possibilities in life. Stop whatever conflict you have with other people, and to start developing yourself to be the best you can be, and if you feel you still haven't reached your full potential or you're still far away from it, then that's great, cause that means you'll never stop improving.

Overall, change is what you want it to be, so never be afraid to change and bring a new you, not just because it's a new year, but because change is unavoidable and you want to change for the better, never stop improving. As for myself, I've been working my hardest to develop a better me, newer me, and a me who I can be satisfied with. Not a lot has change in me, but I have a lot of time left, so I can always work on myself over time.

The Essence of Christmas

What is the essence of Christmas? Is it the giving of gifts? The singing of Christmas carols? The eating of Christmas food? Celebrating the birth of Jesus? Spending time with your family? For me it is all of these.

The essence of Christmas is different for each person, for me it its celebrating it happily together with my family, friend and all of my loved ones. It is reuniting with them, enjoying every second that you have with them, eating food with them,celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ with them, exchanging gifts and cards, singing Christmas carols. Celebrating Christmas as happily, as merrily as you can is the essence of Christmas for me.

When the weather is cold, warm up your heart with the warmth of love from your family, friends, all of your loved ones

Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities

 For centuries, many have been discriminated, became outcasts from society. People usually are given disadvantages because of their race, gender, or skin color. There is no equality in this society that we live in.

Giving equal rights to everyone enables them to show their talents and skill in work which can contribute to society. But even until now, there is still inequality, there are still unequal opportunities. More than 90 million children, all around the world have disabilities. Because of their condition they are most likely to enroll late,drop out or miss out on school.

But equality is currently being fought for, and in the future,if equality will be finally implemented, There will be equal rights and equal opportunities.

Care for all the KIds

Children all around the world deserve to be loved. They are the world's hope, the world's future. But in this generation, a lot of kids are being neglected, some kids dont have families, how can they be the world's hope if they dont have any hope?

In order for children to  become the world's hope, they need to have hope, they need love. Most parents often neglect their children, they rely on phones to entertain their kids. Where's the love? We live in a society that relies too much on technology. Children need love from their parents and family, not technology. We need to go back to the lifestyle where kids are properly taken care off.

Children deserve love, children should be cared for properly. For them to be the Hope and Future of the world, we must give them hope and take care of them for them to have a better future

Education is the key to success

"Education is the key to success." We,the youth, go to school every weekday. We go to school to learn a lot of new things. Reading is one of those. Reading is important because just by reading we can learn, by reading we can understand.

We have wasted time doing nothing, why not try to read? We can read books instead of playing when we have free time. When we read we can learn new words, we can learn words with deeper meaning. By reading we can gain new knowledge, there a are a lot of books about facts. By reading we can improve, we can improve our grammar in making sentences and conversations, we can add more knowledge to things we already know, by reading we can prepare ourselves for the future, reading is the key to succes

Teknolohiya: Ang Tulay sa Pakikipagugnayan

 

Sa panahon ngayon karamihan sa tao ay may access sa teknolohiya. Ang teknolohiya ay nakakatulong sa atin na makagawa ng maraming bagay. Dahil dito ang buhay ay nagiging madali. Dahil sa teknolohiya halos wala nang imposible na magagawa. Puwede na rin ang pakikipagugnayan ng dahil sa teknolohiya.

Ang teknolohiya ay makakatulong sa pagunay sa ating pamilya at kapwa. Isang paraan ay ang komunikasyon. Dahil sa teknolohiya, malayo man ang isang miyembro ng pamilya o kapwa, puwedeng gamitin ang mga gadgets para sa maayos na komunikasyon. Puwede ring magamit ang teknolohiya para makilala ang iyong kapwa. Dahil sa teknolohiya marami tayong magagawa, pero dapat nating alalahanin ang ating responsibilidad, iwasan sana natin nag pagsira sa iba gamit ang teknolohiya.

Ang teknolohiya ay isang tulay sa pakikipagugnayan. Gamitin natin ito ng tama, iwasan natin ang masama

"Wavefront: Accentuating Potentials, Activating Technological Advancements"

       The science month celebration is held annually every September of the year. Every year, a different theme is made the science month. This year, the theme is "Wavefront: Accentuating Potentials, Activating Technological Advancements." This theme encourages the youth to engage in activites that would help protect our environment, widen our knowledge about science, apply these learning and other various activities. Also, this year's theme for the science month celebration gives importance to electromagnetism.

        Faraday's discovery about electromagnestism changed everyone's life. Electromagnetism has big role in the different technological advancements, life became easier. Electromagnestism helps us in many ways like our broadcast stations or entertainment system, either radio or television. It also helps us when cooking food through induction cookers, microwave ovens, electric mixers and more. We are also at ease and comfort because our household appliances such as electric fans and cooling systems use electric motors. Also, because of electromagnetism, cellphones were upgraded and made communication better. Electromagnetism is used also in generators an motors.

         We, the new generation, should give more importance to technology. We should be inspired and motivated to discover something that can create a great impact to the world,  a discovery that could help our Mother Earth's current state. Like others say, "Mother Earth is dying but she's not dead." there's still time to change our fate.

Gurong Pilipino: Turo Mo, Kinabukasan Ko.

Every year, we celebrate the National Teachers' Month Celebration. The said celebration starts on September 5 and ends on October 5. This year's theme is "Gurong Pilipino: Turo Mo, Kinabukasan Ko."

This celebration gives honor and respect to the teachers who work hard just to give the quality education their students need. Here, we get the chance to express our gratefulness for having them as our guide in our molding us as a person and individual in this world.

As the youth, we are expected to be the hope of the our country. But as we continue to dream and hope to achieve our goals, our future that awaits us is in the hands of our teachers. Teachers that always endure the hardships and difficulties they are going through. The teachers who sacrificed so much day-by-day to give every single one of us a better future. Our teachers sacrifice every second in their life so that we can achieve our dreams and goals.

It is only right that we should give the respect and gratitude our dear teachers deserve because they are serving as our bridge towards our dreams and aspirations in life.
